Historian Richard B. Morris in 1973 identified the following seven figures as the key Founding Fathers: John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, John Jay, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and George Washington.
The U.S. Constitution established Americas's national government and fundamental laws, and guaranteed certain basic rights its citizens. it was signed on September 17, 1787, by delegates to the Constitutional Convection in Philadelphia, presided over by George Washington.

Students will elaborate a group presentation about the founder fathers of the United State Constitution.Students will color a map and will identify on the map the thirteen colonies and the place where the founder fathers signed the U.S. Constitution.Students will create a word cloud using the new vocabulary. Students will create a time line (an example is shown below) about the main events of the revolutionary war
Process
Instructions for the assignments:
- The teacher will talk about the founding fathers during a class lecture.
- After the lecture the teacher will provide students a blank map of the United States during the revolutionary period.
- The student will name and color the 13 colonies using different colors, each color represents a colony area. The student also, will identify the place were the first constitution was signed.
- The teacher will show a video that explains the revolutionary war and the life of the founding fathers: video
- Students will use Genial.ly or canvas to elaborate a presentation, the teacher will provide the instructions and a rubric for the presentation.
- Students will work in group for this assignment, the teacher will evaluate all students' participation independently.
- Student will create a word cloud: (word cloud example) using new vocabulary from the section. This is an individual assignment.
- Student will use tagxedo for the word cloud, the teacher will provide the link for the access to the website.
- Student will work in group and will create a time-line, (see the example below) including the most important events and dates of the revolutionary war. (appropriate rubric will be provided for this assignment).
- The teacher will provide the links and the websites necessaries for this assignment.
- The teacher will provide an appropriate feedback and explanation for all the assignments.
- Students will implement technology by using Genial.ly or canvas websites to create a group presentation about the founders fathers of the U.S. Constitution.
- Students will create a digital wordcloud using tagxedo with the new vocabulary of this section.
- The student will create a timeline about all the events of the revolutionary war. The time line will include all the important events that occurred during the revolutionary period. the student may use any of these tools:Timetoast, Mystory, Sutory, Ourstor
